The Emotional Digital Assistant We Love.

This is a short story to feel what it’s like.
Story
◆ 8:23 AM: On his way to a weekly team meeting, Charly is in the subway and gets his smartphone out of his pocket. Unlocked by face recognition, his very personal digital assistant appears on the screen and gives a smile to Charly.
A charming voice, familiar to him, starts into his earbuds:
“Hey Charly, today is your grandma’s birthday.
Your schedule is very busy today, do you want me to help with a present? Flowers, maybe?”
Charly shakes his head and frowns.
“Oh, I see,” answers back his assistant in the earbuds while showing embarrassment.
“Maybe a book? She likes non-fiction,” says his assistant with enthusiasm.
Charly nods and smiles.
“Ok! Look at these ones, they should grab her interest.”
Three propositions are displayed on the screen within his budget, Charly thinks the second one will match his Grandma’s interest and selects it with just a click.“I will use your usual e-commerce account to place the order,
she should be delivered at her place this afternoon.
Is that ok for you?”, says the assistant while displaying the order recap and at the bottom, a confirmation button.
Charly clicks on the button to confirm.
◆ 8:25 AM: the subway’s doors open, Charly puts his smartphone in his pocket and dives into the crowd.
Wait… will that happen for real?
